    Sample Course - Pharmacology I Course Description

    Training in pharmacology is a cornerstone of addiction counseling and a major part of what differentiates the professional field of addiction counseling from other mental health disciplines. This training will provide a solid base of knowledge about the drugs of abuse including what is happening in human physiology and behaviors.

    Meet the instructor

    Thea Wessel

    Thea has been working in the mental health and addictions field for fifteen years and has worked with individuals with trauma, adverse life experiences, and the shame these kinds of experiences can have on their day-to-day experience. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) and has a Masters Addiction Certificate (MAC) and National Cert. for Adolescent Addiction Counselor (NCAAC). Her goal in therapy is to encourage and challenge individuals to become the best they desire to be.
